Bring Cash

Most vendors don't accept credit cards. Make sure to bring enough cash in small denominations.

Bring Your Own Bag

Though plastic bags are available, bringing a reusable shopping bag is both eco-friendly and more practical for carrying your purchases.

Try Before You Buy

Vendors often encourage you to taste their products, especially fruits, olives, and cheeses. Don't be shy about accepting samples.

Practice Basic Greek

Local vendors appreciate when visitors try a few Greek words. "Kalimera" (good morning) and "efharisto" (thank you) go a long way.
