Driver Requirements

Age

You must be at least 23 years old to rent. The maximum age limit is 75.
If you are under 23, please contact us before making a reservation.

License

National driving licenses issued in the E.U. or any other license written in Latin characters are accepted, provided they have been held for at least 1 year. Otherwise, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.

Insurance Coverage

Your rental includes basic insurance with the following coverage:

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Covers damage to the vehicle, with a €700 excess.
  Note: A valid credit card is required for CDW, and a €700 security deposit will be held.
• Liability Insurance: Covers injury to others and damage to third-party property.
• Uninsured Vehicle Coverage: You're protected if hit by an uninsured driver.
• Fire & Theft Protection

Optional Full Insurance (FCDW): Reduce your excess to €0 for just €10 per day. This includes all repair costs from an accident, as long as Greek traffic laws are not violated. You can add FCDW during booking or at pickup.
Note: With FCDW, no credit card is required and no deposit will be held.

Important: Even with FCDW, the insurance does not cover damage to tires, undercarriage, interior, or lost/stolen/damaged vehicle keys.

Insurance Is Not Valid If:

Insurance becomes void if the car is used for any of the following:

• Violating rental terms or Greek laws
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Carrying more passengers than allowed
• Transporting illegal or dangerous items
• Use by anyone not listed on the rental agreement
• Racing, towing, or off-road driving
• Leaving Crete without written permission
• Driving off-road, on beaches, or other unauthorized terrain
• Engine damage from using the wrong fuel
• Theft or damage due to the car being left unlocked or parked illegally

Your Responsibilities

• Traffic Fines: You are responsible for all fines, even if received after your rental ends.
• Fuel: Return the car with the same fuel level. No refund for unused fuel.
• Return Time: You must return the vehicle at the same time as stated in your booking. Late returns will result in a full additional day charge.
• Accidents: In case of an accident:
  • Call us and the Traffic Police (100) immediately.
  • Do not move the car until police or insurance representative arrive.
  • Collect names and addresses of everyone involved.
  • If not reported properly, you may be held fully responsible.

Rental Details

Minimum Rental

Unlimited Kilometers

Drive as far as you like—no extra charge.

Taxes

All rates include 24% VAT.

Out of Office Hours

For vehicle deliveries between 22:30 and 07:45, an additional fee of €20 will be charged.

Cancellations:

• 7+ days before pickup: Full refund
• 1–6 days before pickup: Charged for 1 day's rental
• Less than 24 hours or no-show: Full rental charge
